Cai Xushuang was beside himself with joy, hurrying forward to welcome the “star who knew how to correct her mistakes.” But as he drew near, terror struck him so hard his legs trembled. Without a second thought, he threw away the microphone and bolted.

He fled for one simple reason: the gaping wound in Chu Yan’s abdomen, and the blood-soaked little girl behind her.

At that moment, Long Mengting was dragging Chu Yan’s corpse with her hands, step by step toward the stage, each step leaving a bloody footprint. This was the order Feng Tianlin had given her when he left.

The audience below was utterly dumbstruck. The first singer had fled, and now the organizer was running as well? Wasn’t this a bit too much…?

Yet their confusion didn’t last long, for soon a little girl, drenched from head to toe in blood, cradling a woman whose belly bore a gaping hole, slowly walked to the center of the stage.

Everyone was stunned, including Feng He and Lu Li. They had never witnessed such a scene and, for a moment, didn’t know what to do. They simply stared, dumbfounded.

“Is… is that special effects makeup?”

Someone finally responded, uncertainly.

“But it looks too real…”

“Honestly, I was really scared just now!”

“Who wouldn’t be scared? Unless they weren’t human!”

“…”

As the murmurs grew louder, a man was taking photos with Feng Tianlin.

“Hmph, what’s so impressive? It’s just special effects makeup. Such a terrifying doll must fetch a good price, hehehe.”

He was greedy, uninterested in anything happening on stage. He’d only come to the concert because it was free, and now his only concern was how much the doll could sell for.

But as he searched online for the doll’s price, he glanced at it unintentionally—and found it staring right back at him.

“Whoa, damn!” He shivered in fright, but when he looked again, nothing seemed amiss.

“Why do I keep feeling this doll is watching me? Must be an illusion, definitely an illusion!”

As he thought this, something bizarre happened. The doll’s head spun a full three hundred sixty degrees, completing a circle, then locked its gaze on his. Its head twisted oddly as it smiled at him, unsettlingly.

“Damn it!” Unable to hold back, he cursed aloud and threw Feng Tianlin into the air.

With that toss, Feng Tianlin soared high and met Long Mengting’s gaze on stage. At the same time, Feng Tianlin relayed a command to Long Mengting: “The game begins!”

Understanding, Long Mengting hurled Chu Yan’s corpse toward the audience. Instinctively, someone caught it, and upon seeing what it was, nearly died of fright.

“Damn! It’s a real corpse! Chu Yan was killed by that little girl!”

“Oh my god! Run!”

Everyone screamed and fled, but none could match the speed of F-rank Long Mengting. With a single leap, she reached the edge of the crowd, her arms enlarging as she began slaughtering indiscriminately.

As for Feng Tianlin, he used his eerie agility to block the escape routes, slowly raising his head to reveal a sinister smile, staring at the people as if they were lambs awaiting slaughter.

After ten minutes of carnage, the more than eight thousand people present had boosted Feng Tianlin’s rank to F, and his fear value was nearing a million, still climbing. Even Long Mengting had reached E-rank.

Surveying the blood-soaked scene, where the ground was littered with severed limbs, wailing survivors, and corpses, Feng Tianlin waved to Long Mengting, issuing a command: “Go! Let’s withdraw!”

He then quickly fled in a certain direction.

Feng He and Lu Li, meanwhile, had not intervened because they wanted to observe the powers of these two peculiar entities they had never encountered before. The price was merely the lives of unrelated people—they didn’t care in the slightest.

“The doll’s skill appears to be acceleration, and the little girl’s seems to be arm enhancement. But what is their relationship? Could it be, as Li Juetian claimed, that two strange entities have teamed up?” Feng He recalled everything that had happened and spoke.

“Hurry up and chase them. These two are so unique, the researchers in the biological lab will be thrilled. We’ll definitely fetch a good price,” Lu Li reminded beside him.

Feng He nodded, wasting no time and pursued in Feng Tianlin’s direction.

Feng Tianlin, sensing these two presences, found their aura unlike the chaotic energy of other strange entities; it was calm, yet fundamentally still that of strange beings. He couldn’t understand why.

Noticing the two presences drawing closer, Feng Tianlin deliberately moved into a dead-end alley, waiting there with Long Mengting for their pursuers.

“I want to see what kind of thing dares to track me.”

With full speed, Feng He and Lu Li soon arrived at the dead-end where Feng Tianlin was.

“What? Are they waiting for us?” Feng He was shocked.

“No need for words. Let’s attack!” Lu Li had a brash temperament and didn’t want to waste time. She pulled out a mirror, which emitted a dazzling light, enveloping Long Mengting entirely.

In the next moment, a Long Mengting radiating white light emerged from the mirror, glanced at her identical counterpart, and charged forward. Her arms grew larger, and the two began grappling.

Lu Li’s controlled entity could replicate any strange being, and the copy possessed the original’s abilities, with strength matching the user’s mental power. At equal levels, this entity was invincible; the only way to defeat it was to wait until the user’s energy ran out and the copy dissipated.

Seeing her boyfriend still unmoved, Lu Li said, “Why are you just standing there? Hurry up and attack!”

Feng He had intended to play it safe, but realized it was too late and released his own entity.

His entity was a disposable lighter, the ordinary kind sold in every convenience store. As soon as it appeared, it erupted in roaring flames, which surged straight toward Feng Tianlin.

Now Feng Tianlin understood: these two were likely the specialized human agents sent to deal with them, wielding controlled versions of their own kind. But this lighter…

“Damn! It actually counters my flames!”

Feng Tianlin cursed inwardly, powerless against fire, and could only flee.

As Feng Tianlin was chased by the lighter’s flames, Feng He laughed uproariously, “Hahaha, my fire is the nemesis of all strange entities! The doll that had Li Juetian running in circles is nothing!”

But Feng Tianlin wasn’t just fleeing; as he ran, he was exchanging skills in the system.

“Rapid Freeze: unleash a cloud of extremely cold mist to instantly freeze whatever’s in front, costing one thousand fear points.

Spatial Forbidden Zone: seal off a space—only a blow far exceeding the user’s strength can break it, costing one thousand fear points.

Soul Interrogation: makes the target’s power shine through the user’s soul and inflicts deep sorrow, costing six hundred fear points.

These were the skills he selected this time, and he learned them all without hesitation.”
