Chapter Seventy-Three: The Humble Natives

Seeing the supreme leader display his signature smile, Blue Sky finally relaxed, understanding that he was only teasing him.

“Leader, please don’t joke with me. I broke out in a cold sweat! Dating a minor is illegal, and she’s your granddaughter—if anything happened, I’d be condemned by the whole nation.” Faced with the playful, almost childlike leader, Blue Sky could only shake his head with a wry smile.

“Haha, alright, I won’t tease you anymore. My time is limited today, so let’s get down to business.” The supreme leader nodded with a smile and motioned for Blue Sky to sit.

“Very well, I have something important to report. It’s extremely confidential, so I hope these two can step outside for a moment.” Blue Sky nodded and spoke seriously.

“No way!”

“Absolutely not!” Two voices interrupted in unison.

“Calm down!” The leader raised his hand to silence the two guards and turned to Blue Sky. “They’ve been with me since childhood. Though they’re my guards, I treat them as I would my own nephews. Surely they can stay?”

“Well… the matter I’m about to report concerns the fate of the entire planet, and it’s highly classified. It’s best to be cautious. If anything leaks, the consequences could be unimaginable!” After careful consideration, Blue Sky insisted, his expression grave.

“Alright, you two wait outside.” Seeing Blue Sky’s seriousness, the leader realized this was no trivial matter and instructed the guards to leave.

“Leader, this isn’t right! It violates protocol! Even when you travel abroad, we never leave your side!” One guard protested anxiously.

“Outrageous! When I say leave, you leave! What protocol?” The two guards stood unmoving, and the leader grew irritated, raising his voice.

“Leader, please don’t be angry; they’re just concerned for your safety.” Blue Sky stepped in to ease the tension. “Gentlemen, if you fear I might harm the leader, your worry is unfounded. First, I’m not deranged—such a beloved leader deserves only respect. Second, if I truly meant him harm, frankly, whether you were here or not, it’d make no difference.”

His words made both guards glare at him, and even the leader shot him a surprised look, trying to fathom what Blue Sky was implying.

Could this young man have some hidden secret?

“Ha, don’t look at me like that. For the leader’s sake, I’ll demonstrate.” Blue Sky smiled, and without any visible movement, everyone saw his figure blur for an instant, and suddenly, he held two objects in his hands.

Seeing these, the guards’ pupils contracted sharply, their scalps tingling as they instinctively reached for their now-empty belts.

They were staring at their own service pistols!

“How… how did you do that?!” Sweat broke out on their foreheads as they stared at Blue Sky, as if seeing a monster.

Even the seasoned leader was visibly startled, his mouth agape in disbelief.

To become his guards was no simple feat; their backgrounds were spotless, and they’d been selected through rigorous screening for their exceptional abilities. Either one could easily be considered a king among soldiers, even in the special forces.

And now, these two kings of soldiers had been disarmed in the blink of an eye!

“It seems, young Blue, you do have secrets…” After a long silence, the leader was first to recover, glaring at the guards. “What are you standing there for? Get out. Blue is right—if he wished me harm, your presence would make no difference.”

“Yes…” The guards hurriedly took their pistols from Blue Sky and left, as if fleeing from a venomous snake.

“Alright, now tell me, what’s really going on?” The leader looked at Blue Sky with deep interest.

“Hehe, I was a bit reckless earlier—sorry for startling you. Don’t worry, I really mean you no harm.” Blue Sky rubbed his head sheepishly. Even knowing he could easily defeat the leader, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe in his presence.

Perhaps it was because of the leader’s renowned love for his people.

Thinking this, Blue Sky spoke, “Leader, let me ask you: do you believe that intelligent life exists only on Earth in this universe?”

“Hmm? Why do you suddenly ask that? That’s a question every major nation has been eager to explore.” The leader looked at Blue Sky in surprise, unable to understand why he’d shifted the topic so far.

“Because I know the answer…” Blue Sky replied, no longer holding back. “Actually, the universe we live in is far bigger than we Earthlings imagine—much, much bigger, beyond anyone’s comprehension.”

“What do you mean—are you saying aliens really exist?” Curiosity flashed across the leader’s face.

“Heh, Earthlings are far too arrogant—the whole alien concept…” Blue Sky shook his head in self-mockery. “To most powers in the universe, Earth is nothing but an undiscovered, insignificant speck, barely worth noticing. To the intelligent species of the cosmos, Earthlings are merely humble natives…”

Clang!

The leader’s teacup slipped from his grasp, crashing to the floor with a sharp, jarring sound. The two guards immediately burst in, weapons raised, ready for anything.

“Get out! Without my permission, no one is allowed in—otherwise… I’ll deal with you myself!” The leader, visibly shaken, dismissed the guards, then stared intently at Blue Sky, enunciating each word: “Is what you say… true?!”

“Otherwise, how could the virtual network have been created? Surely you don’t believe a mere youngster like me could accomplish what countless people on Earth failed to do for generations?” Blue Sky shrugged. “And do you really think my abilities are possible for any Earthling?”

“So… you’re not from Earth? You’re an alien?” The leader asked, then shook his head. “No, you are certainly human. So, you must have obtained alien technology?”

“Leader, you truly live up to your reputation. Bai, come out.” Blue Sky touched the ring on his finger, signaling Bai to appear and greet him.
