"Alright!"
The drivers nodded in acknowledgment without further words, about to climb onto the excavators, when Ye Wushang suddenly rushed forward and pulled each of them down one by one.

"This workshop is mine. If I don't agree, who dares to demolish it?"

Faced with his predatory glare, the drivers were so terrified they dared not move.

"Useless trash, you think I'm giving you a choice?"
Sun Chuanlong's expression darkened. He snatched a key from one of the drivers and quickly climbed into the cab of the nearest excavator.

"In Jianghan City, there is nothing I, Sun Chuanlong, wish to do that cannot be done!"

"Worthless fool, today I will flatten this wretched workshop right before your eyes. Try to stop me if you have the guts!"

With those words, he jammed the key into the ignition, intent on starting the excavator.

Ye Wushang's face instantly grew cold. Without hesitation, he leapt forward and seized Sun Chuanlong's hand before he could act.

"Give me the key!"

Ye Wushang barked, gripping with such force that Sun Chuanlong grimaced in pain and shouted repeatedly, "Let go of me, you piece of trash!"

"You dare lay a hand on me? Are you tired of living?"

Bones cracked audibly. Sun Chuanlong felt as though his hand would shatter.

But Ye Wushang was unmoved, his voice icy: "I'll say it one last time. Give me the key!"

"This guy's lost his mind! He actually dares to lay hands on Young Master Sun?"

"That's Young Master Sun! Heir to a second-rate family. Where does this guy get his nerve?"

"If the Sun family so much as stamps their feet, all of Jinghan trembles. Daring to challenge Young Master Sun—he's courting death!"

The onlookers inhaled sharply, their voices rising in mockery.

"Give you what?!"
Enraged, Sun Chuanlong roared and swung his left hand over.

With so many people watching, could he let himself be cowed by this useless fool?

He quickly grabbed the key with his left hand and twisted it. With a thunderous roar, the excavator's claw lunged at the two pillars at the entrance.

Crack! Crack!

Two sharp snaps. The pillars broke in half, and the entire workshop collapsed in an instant.

"Bastard!"

Ye Wushang's furious roar shook the heavens.

This workshop was the only memento his mother had left him.

How dare he? To demolish it right before his eyes!

"Get out of my way!"

Without another word, Ye Wushang seized Sun Chuanlong by the collar and hurled him outside.

Thud!

Sun Chuanlong hit the ground hard, a muffled groan escaping his lips as blood spurted from his mouth.

He lay sprawled on the ground, unable to rise.

"Brother Long!"

Lan Ruoshuang was shocked and rushed to support him. "Are you alright? Don't scare me!"

"Don't… don't touch me," Sun Chuanlong gasped in agony, unable even to sit up, his breath ragged as he tried to ease the pain.

At that moment, Ye Wushang, having removed the key, landed lightly and strode toward Sun Chuanlong.

"Are you insane, you wretch? You dare assault Brother Long in public?"
Lan Ruoshuang glared at Ye Wushang, her heart still pounding with fear.

Truthfully, the way this so-called good-for-nothing exploded just now had truly startled her. At home, he was always meek and silent; who would have thought he was so capable, subduing Sun Chuanlong in an instant?

He had always been so unremarkable, but now his violent outburst was terrifying. If her sister ever got back together with him, who knows what disaster might happen?

Clearly, persuading her sister to divorce him was the right decision!

"Bastard!"

Ye Wushang soon stood before them, ignoring Lan Ruoshuang, his eyes blazing as he glared at Sun Chuanlong.

"This workshop is the only thing my mother left me," he thundered. "It is the most important thing in my life, and you nearly destroyed it!"

"If your parents never taught you how to behave, then let me do it for them!"

He seized Sun Chuanlong, ready to strike again, when Lan Ruoshuang instinctively grabbed his arm and shouted,

"Do you realize who Brother Long is? You think you can teach him a lesson? Do you have a death wish?"

"I'm ordering you now—kneel! Apologize to Brother Long, immediately!"

"If he doesn’t forgive you, not only will you lose that wretched workshop, you'll lose your life as well!"

Ye Wushang stared in disbelief. He never imagined that the woman he once considered a little sister could malign him so viciously for the sake of an outsider.

And she called him a worthless fool, claimed the workshop as hers—utterly heartless!

He was truly blind to have ever regarded them as family.

"Get lost!!"

Ye Wushang's roar was like thunder, deafening the crowd.

Lan Ruoshuang recoiled two steps, silenced by fear.

Terrifying! He looked ready to devour someone alive. Why had she never realized how frightening this so-called loser could be?

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

In his fury, Ye Wushang unleashed fists and feet upon Sun Chuanlong, blow after blow.

Cracks and screams filled the air, blood and spittle mingling.

Within minutes, Sun Chuanlong was beaten black and blue, vomiting blood. When he finally collapsed, he trembled like a dying dog.

But Ye Wushang wasn’t finished. His eyes narrowed, and a murderous intent flashed within them.

He picked up a wooden stick, about to bring it down, when Lan Ruoshuang, regaining her senses, could no longer hold back.

"He's going to kill someone! Help! Someone, help!"

She shrieked like a shrew.

The bystanders, though angry, dared not intervene—Ye Wushang was like a raging beast, and no one wanted to provoke him.

"What's going on? Who's committing murder…?"

At that moment, a security patrol team of more than a dozen rushed over.

When the team captain saw Sun Chuanlong lying on the ground, he was stunned. "Isn’t that Young Master Sun? What are you doing here—and who beat you like this?"

He recognized Sun Chuanlong, though only in passing.

He was just a local patrol captain, while Sun Chuanlong was heir to a second-rate family. He had always hoped to curry favor with him for a promotion, but had never found the opportunity.

"Captain Yang!"

Sun Chuanlong opened his eyes. Spotting the newcomers, he grasped at the lifeline and shouted with all his strength,

"Quick, arrest that wretch! He just beat me—now he wants to kill me!"

"Attempted murder! Arrest him and have him shot!"

Captain Yang glanced at Ye Wushang, his face calm but his heart leaping with joy.

Opportunity knocks when you least expect it. Clearly, this young man was a hothead, unaware of Sun Chuanlong's status. To attack someone in public and attempt murder—arresting him would be perfectly justified.

Most importantly, this could win Sun Chuanlong’s favor. If he saved him, surely he would be repaid.

With the Sun family putting in a word at the precinct, his promotion would be assured!

"Outrageous! Attempted murder in broad daylight?"

"Men, arrest him!"

At his command, several team members closed in.

Ye Wushang prepared to defend himself, his stance ready, when suddenly a woman's commanding voice rang out:

"I’d like to see who dares lay a hand on Mr. Ye!"

Everyone froze and turned. From a luxury car that had screeched to a halt, a woman emerged.

She was stunning—her figure voluptuous, clad in a black gown that accentuated every curve.

At the same time, more than a dozen sharply dressed, well-built bodyguards poured from other cars, hurrying after her.

The woman’s presence was extraordinary. Though her lips were painted a blazing red, she was nothing like the ordinary, gaudy kind.

She was a scorching sun, a peerless beauty—perhaps the Creator’s finest work, breathtaking to behold.

"Incredible!" many men in the crowd exclaimed.

Yet she ignored the heated stares. She walked straight to Ye Wushang, bowed deeply, and greeted him with utmost respect.

"My apologies, Mr. Ye, I arrived a moment too late and allowed you to be frightened."

Ye Wushang frowned. The killing intent in his eyes faded, replaced by confusion. "And you are…?"

"Mr. Ye, my name is An Lan. I have come to invite you to treat my grandfather’s illness."

"The Sheng family’s head said you would visit later, but my grandfather had another attack just now and his condition is critical. I had no choice but to come in person to request your help."
