Chapter 6: Do you still think you were lucky to meet me?
Song Yin suddenly felt as if her throat was stuck, unable to utter a word.
She cleared her throat before speaking, "I thought I was just lucky, meeting Third Master twice and getting away unharmed each time."
"Is that so?"
In Lou Yizhou’s eyes, her feigned retreat was nothing more than a clumsy little trick.
Knowing she couldn’t play dumb before a sharp mind like his, Song Yin asked, "Third Master, what do you want?"
Lou Yizhou merely looked at her without a word.
There was a calmness in his wait, as if patiently letting the prey come to the trap on its own.
Aware she was in the wrong, whether Lou Yizhou was acting out of his own will or she had intended to use him, she knew she owed him a favor.
If not for Lou Yizhou tonight, she might have ended up in Shen Zhuoan’s hands.
With Shen Zhuoan’s intentions, it was impossible to keep him from tasting even a little sweetness.
After a trip to the restroom, Song Yin had resigned herself to her fate.
After all, it was through information provided by Shen Zhuoan that she found Lu Guang and obtained the life-saving money.
Paying a price for this lifeline was only natural.
She hadn’t expected to encounter Lou Yizhou.
Since a price had to be paid, it seemed better to pay it to the man before her than to Shen Zhuoan.
At least Lou Yizhou’s face was more pleasing to the eye.
Taking a deep breath, Song Yin used the black hair tie on her wrist to gather her hair into a high ponytail.
Then she rose and straddled Lou Yizhou’s lap.
Leaning in, she was about to kiss him.
But Lou Yizhou turned his head away.
Then he raised a hand, gripping her chin firmly, commanding her to maintain some distance.
Earlier, the dim lighting of the club had concealed her features, but now, this close, her face was clear as day.
She wore no makeup, and under the soft light, the fine peach fuzz on her cheeks was plainly visible.
Her hair tied back revealed a full forehead, with a few stray wisps framing her temples.
Her face was undeniably alluring, especially those eyes—excessively beautiful. Even he would be drawn in.
She had only recently graduated from university, still bearing traces of youthful innocence, a purity not easily feigned.
Song Yin softened her breath; Lou Yizhou could smell the faint scent of strong liquor from her nostrils.
She asked, "Third Master, isn’t this what you want?"
She was confused.
Could Lou Yizhou not be attracted to her face?
Outside, raindrops pelted the car window, creating a chaotic patter, yet inside the vehicle, silence reigned, broken only by his breath.
His voice was cold and flat, without any warmth or inflection. "Do you have a medical report?"
Song Yin hesitated. "Yes."
She had foolishly thought he might let her go.
Instead, he merely doubted whether she was "sick."
Perhaps, in his eyes, someone as capable as her posed a risk.
Lou Yizhou kept his hand on her chin, looking at her with a detached gaze.
Not lacking in cleverness, Song Yin pulled up the medical report on her phone and explained, "It was a company-wide physical exam last week."
Had it been earlier, she might not have had a phone at all. It was a fortunate coincidence.
Lou Yizhou took the phone and glanced over it.
The glow of the screen illuminated his face.
Rarely did Song Yin get such a close look at him.
His nose was straight and prominent, jawline defined; his features nearly flawless.
Only his expression was too cold, exuding an oppressive aura.
He quickly finished reading.
Her body was in excellent health, with almost no abnormal indicators.
He turned off the screen and handed the phone back to Song Yin.
She asked, "Is it okay now?"
Lou Yizhou released her chin, then pressed his thumb against her full lips, scrutinizing her.
His hand was icy cold; Song Yin felt a tightness in her throat.
He asked, "Do you have any requests?"
This was turning into a straightforward transaction.
That was fine; clarity was better.
"As long as Third Master pays, that’s enough. You don’t seem stingy. My only request is that you have no unusual preferences—I might not be able to comply."
Lou Yizhou smiled faintly, lowered his eyes to appraise her for a moment, then suddenly bent down and bit her lips.
There was still a faint taste of alcohol in his mouth.
Though he appeared cold and aloof, this kiss was passionate.
It drained nearly all the air from Song Yin’s lungs; she was forced to endure the intrusion of his tongue, almost touching her throat, making it difficult to bear.
He was utterly domineering, claiming all initiative in the kiss—and in everything else.
When he finally pulled away, Song Yin gasped softly.
Lou Yizhou looked at her reddened lips and smiled, asking, "Still think meeting me was your good luck?"
He had kissed her so fervently, yet now his expression was utterly indifferent.
Before Song Yin could reply, Lou Yizhou calmly instructed the driver, "Go to the hotel."
