At one o'clock in the morning, the police located Yang Yongli and Yang Yongfang and conducted a preliminary interrogation at the Baxian Police Station.
"Yang Yongli, where were you between seven and ten last night?"
"My sister and I were at the Xitang Farmhouse in Baxian, waiting for my brother. We had planned to have dinner together. He was supposed to return to town to pick up my sister-in-law, but he never showed up. I played some cards for a while, then accompanied my sister for a walk by the lake and picked some fruit on the nearby hillside. It was almost ten by the time we got back."
"Can anyone verify this?"
"Yes, the owner of the farmhouse can testify, as well as two people I played cards with. When we went up the hill to pick fruit, we also ran into several old farmers who can vouch for us."
"Did Yang Yonggui say anything when he returned home?"
"These past two days..."
As Tian Mu departed, he cast a lingering, affectionate gaze upon the plot of land he had successfully bid on. He had spent a fortune to acquire it, yet he understood that unless the class conflicts within Yan City were resolved, he would never be able to develop his holdings.
For a reporter, what could be more thrilling than stumbling upon a major event while already in the middle of an assignment?
That man had always been cold, keeping others at a distance. During those years in the Western Border, she had drawn close to him and offered her affections time and again, shamelessly enough that even his many deputy generals were aware of her feelings, yet she had never found the slightest opportunity.

"Gao Shun has joined my camp? When did this happen? I was unaware, but his arrival will significantly increase the success rate of this ruse."
After experiencing so much, I had developed a bit of a persecution complex. I lit a cigarette to calm myself before asking Qin Yili what we should do next.
The technician shuddered. "No, no, you don't need to write anything; just fill out a form and check a few boxes." He hurriedly sent a screenshot highlighting the necessary steps. As he spoke, the Star Trace came to a halt at the designated position. The central porthole was shrouded in darkness, and the main light curtain flickered to life, indeed prompting for some input.
"So that's how it is." Tang Qihong felt ashamed; he had just been guessing that one was the head wife and the other a concubine, but it seemed he had been mistaken.
Xiao Yue had not expected this. No wonder he felt that Ling Feng’s gaze toward Yun’er was exceptionally tender; only someone as thick-skinned as Yun’er could fail to notice.
Cao Cao was closely monitoring the war between Yuan Shu and Sun Ce. Guojia was at his side offering strategies, while Sima Yi had long since returned to Yanzhou.
Logically, since Chenliu had not been lost and those burned were soldiers of Dong Zhuo’s army, Liu Ye should have been pleased. Yet, deep in his heart, amidst the anger, there was a trace of sorrow.
"That won't be necessary. I have a creative concept for a tourism advertisement, but the client hasn't been satisfied with any of the seven drafts I've submitted. Could you take a look?" Cao Ye suggested.
The thought of it was repulsive, yet looking at Hao Nan’s expression, it was clear he intended to go through with it.
"Necros, you’d best be obedient and follow me. You are in no position to cause any more trouble," Uchiha Madara said coldly.

The sunlight cast faint, concentric circles of purple light. The Celestial Emperor, looking composed and unhurried, walked across the snow with his hands behind his back.
He had helped him capture such a precious Pokémon, yet he hadn't received a word of thanks, the man having been too busy admiring himself.
Estelle stood on the deck, staring at Uchiha Madara in astonishment; she hadn't imagined that such a tactic could actually be achieved!
Lan Ruoxin pondered the meaning of Keke's words, recalling how, in wildlife documentaries, it was once explained that the ancestors of humans millions of years ago were a type of fish. Later, their front fins evolved and their gills transformed into lungs capable of breathing air, allowing them to crawl out of the sea and begin their transition into terrestrial creatures.
These three demons—the thousand-year-old fox spirit, the nine-headed pheasant spirit, and the jade pipa spirit—prostrated themselves before the cinnabar steps.
Seeing that something had happened on our side, Octopus came over to scold me, assuming I had bullied the cute girl. When he saw I wasn't even comforting her, he asked what had gone wrong.
Gazing at the pool of blood and water, he did not hesitate, using his Heavenly Origin Qi to push the rotting flesh toward it.
"Thank you, truly. Sigh, you all know the situation in my family..." Auntie Zhang began to wipe away her tears as she spoke.
