"Have you packed everything?" Madame Flamel asked with concern, looking at Xiwen and Newt, who were about to depart.

Xiwen checked his belongings within the space of his pocket watch and then turned to look at the kitten perched on his shoulder, confirming that nothing had been left behind.

He smiled at Madame Flamel and replied, "Everything is ready!"

Xiwen then looked at Newt, who also nodded at Madame Flamel.

"Where are you heading, Mr. Scamander?" Xiwen asked.

Newt paused, looking surprised. "To the Montparnasse train station in Paris, of course. We need to catch the European Magic Star train to get back to King's Cross Station. Aren't you coming with me?"

Xiwen shook his head, wearing a mysterious expression, and said, "Actually, there is another way for us to return to England."

"Don't be silly, Xiwen," Newt said, sounding rather helpless, as if he thought Xiwen was joking. "We're going to miss the evening train."

Seeing this, Xiwen decided to reveal his trump card.

He extended his left hand, pointing the silver ring on his index finger forward, and drew a circle in the air with his wand in his right hand.

A ring of light, shimmering with golden sparks, appeared before them. Inside the circle stood a majestic castle, silhouetted against the dimming sunset!

"Is that... Hogwarts?" Newt stared in astonishment.

"Yes," Xiwen nodded gently. "Or more precisely, the Hogsmeade pier, the place where I first saw Hogwarts."

"My goodness, what magic is this?" The Flamels were quickly drawn by the commotion, and upon seeing Hogwarts castle within the ring, they were utterly amazed.

"Is this... a long-distance portal?" Flamel asked, looking at Xiwen with intense curiosity.

Xiwen nodded with a smile.

Since receiving the ring on his left index finger from Flamel's alchemical world that morning, he had been constantly tweaking and modifying it. He had been repeatedly channeling the dimension gate, comparing the sensation each time to his experience summoning them at Kamar-Taj, and then refining the ring based on those observations. Because the ring crafted by Flamel possessed exquisite craftsmanship and superior quality, and Xiwen had been contemplating the creation of a sling ring ever since he began studying alchemy, his focused research allowed him to transform the ring into the "sling ring" he needed in just a few hours.

"No wonder you needed a tool to assist with long-distance targeting," Flamel said, nodding in realization and marveling at the feat. "This is truly a miraculous magic!"

"Meow?"

At that moment, the kitten on Xiwen’s shoulder curiously poked her little head forward, sniffing the familiar air from near the castle inside the portal. Before Xiwen could react, she agilely jumped off his shoulder and darted straight through the ring.

"Kitty, come back!" Xiwen shouted in a hurry.

However, perhaps because she had not returned to her "territory" for several days, the kitten had already dashed far away in her excitement, and Xiwen could no longer spot her.

Xiwen’s mouth twitched, and with a face full of dark lines, he closed the dimension gate.

"Is the kitten going to be alright?" Newt asked, looking somewhat worried.

"Oh, there's no need to worry about that," Xiwen waved his hand, telling Newt, "That kitten considers herself the mistress of Hogwarts; she knows that area like the back of her paw."

Xiwen was completely unconcerned about the kitten's safety. After all, she had hung around that area for so long, and with her ability to teleport, she was excellent at escaping danger. If all else failed, the ghost of Xiwen was there to look after her. Hearing that the kitten viewed herself as the mistress of Hogwarts, Newt couldn't help but chuckle, and he felt relieved.

"How far can this portal of yours reach at its maximum?" Newt asked, suddenly biting his lip.

"Err, let's just say, very, very far!" Xiwen replied.

"So, are you confident you can transport me directly to China?" Newt asked with a smirk.

"China?" Hearing the familiar name from Newt, Xiwen felt a sense of unreality and asked with disbelief, "What are you going to China for?"

"It's a secret," Newt smiled.

Hearing the word "secret" from Newt, Xiwen understood immediately. It was likely another task arranged for his errand boy, Newt, by Dumbledore.

"Alright," Xiwen looked at Newt with pity and shrugged. "Where in China do you want to go? You know, China is almost as large as all of Europe."

Newt pulled a slip of paper from his pocket and read it somewhat stiffly: "Yangshuo, Guangxi."

"So it's Guangxi." Xiwen silently closed his eyes, recalling the location of Guangxi Province in China. He wasn't entirely certain if the places he had visited in his previous life could still serve as coordinates to open a dimension gate in this world.

Xiwen extended his left hand again, drawing a circle with his wand. A golden, shimmering ring appeared before them. Inside the portal was a picturesque landscape of beautiful mountains and waters—rugged peaks, towering crags, and strange rock formations. Despite the cold winter, a warm breeze wafted through from the other side, feeling exceptionally comfortable.

Newt took out a compass-like object from his pocket, and seeing the faint glow it emitted, he nodded gently.

"This is just about right," Newt said, turning to Xiwen. "Thank you for this, Xiwen!"

"It’s a small matter!" Xiwen shook his head, then asked curiously, "By the way, do you speak Chinese? And to communicate smoothly in Guangxi, you might need to learn several dialects."

Hearing this, Newt smiled without a word. He silently opened his suitcase and called out into it. The Diricawl, with its pair of small wings and long tail, flew out. It flew outside the portal and suddenly flapped its wings several times. With each flap, it inflated itself like a balloon, expanding continuously. Its little wings beat hard, and its puffy body floated upward like a hot air balloon. Then, the Diricawl wrapped its long tail around Newt, carrying him slowly into the high sky.

"Don't worry, I'm just looking for a magical creature among the mountains and waters here; I don't need to speak Chinese," Newt said, floating in mid-air.

Xiwen hesitated for a moment before calling out to him loudly, "Mr. Scamander, remember to keep the Flamels' two-way mirror with you at all times!"

"No problem!" Newt's voice drifted back from far above.

Xiwen watched as the Diricawl, which had helped them quite a bit recently, spread its wings wide in the high altitude, carrying Newt away into the distance...

Closing the portal, Xiwen looked at the Flamels, who were still standing nearby.

"May I come to visit you often in the future? I would also like to continue learning alchemy from Mr. Flamel," Xiwen asked.

"Of course. We two old folks get so bored staying here; it would be best if you could come every day," Madame Flamel said with a kindly smile.

"Can your portal enter directly into the safe house?" Flamel asked curiously.

Xiwen nodded, produced the two-way mirror with the phoenix relief carved into its frame, and said softly, "I can sense the location of the phoenix-relief book through this mirror, so I can open a gateway here at any time."

Not only that, but he could also sense the precise location of the other mirrors. This was exactly why he had told Newt to carry the phoenix-relief two-way mirror with him. Whenever he wished, he could travel instantly to Newt's side!

After bidding farewell to the Flamels once more, Xiwen opened a golden portal to the Rosier residence and returned to his own courtyard.

Only then did he truly realize the convenience of being able to teleport freely. Even when faced with an unbeatable enemy, he now possessed the ability to retreat unscathed!

Xiwen felt as though he were ready to soar!
