“Xīn, please just try it on for me. I’m sure it will look great on you,” Lu Yichen urged again.

“But…” Yu Suixin was about to explain that, as an employee, she wasn’t allowed to try on any watches when the store manager walked in from outside.

“What’s going on here? Why are you all gathered around?” the manager asked.

“Manager,” the four of them greeted in unison.

Seeing this, Lu Yichen explained, “Sorry, I just wanted Xīn to try on this watch to see if it suits her.”

Although the manager didn’t know his exact intention, not wanting to miss any potential customer, she said, “Suixin, just help him try it on. Don’t worry about you being an employee.”

“Okay,” Yu Suixin agreed without hesitation after the manager’s instruction.

She took out the E-Ling Goddess watch from the counter and carefully put it on her wrist.

Wearing it, Yu Suixin stood before the mirror and inspected herself closely. She felt herself becoming enchanted.

Although the E-Ling Goddess watch couldn’t enhance her facial beauty, it absolutely elevated her aura and presence significantly.

Just wearing her OL uniform, Yu Suixin could already feel a marked change once she put on the watch. If she changed into another outfit and dressed up a little, the effect would be even more striking.

No wonder it’s a high-end luxury watch; it truly feels different when worn.

“Wow, is that really the same colleague I know?” someone exclaimed.

“Xīn, the E-Ling Goddess suits you so well!”

“Really, I thought a female CEO just walked out.”

“It’s truly impressive.”

Even the manager couldn’t help but compliment Yu Suixin upon seeing the transformation.

Everyone present, without exception, was praising Yu Suixin, and Lu Yichen nodded in satisfaction.

Yu Suixin felt deeply gratified—after all, who doesn’t love hearing compliments?

“Junior, do you think it looks good?” she asked.

“Hmm, is it you who looks good, or the watch?” teased a nearby sales assistant.

Yu Suixin blushed and didn’t reply.

Lu Yichen smiled slightly and said, “It looks great—both you and the watch.”

Faced with Lu Yichen’s praise, Yu Suixin’s heart fluttered with excitement, shedding her usual mask to reveal the innocent little girl within.

Looking down at the watch on her wrist, a hint of sadness crossed her face.

It was truly beautiful, yet she simply couldn’t afford it.

A watch worth over four hundred thousand yuan—given her entire lifetime, she doubted she could ever buy one.

“Why that expression? Don’t you like it? If not, you can try another,” Lu Yichen offered.

Yu Suixin sighed helplessly. “I do like it, but what good does that do? I can’t afford it.”

She was about to take off the watch when Lu Yichen stopped her.

He looked at the manager and asked, “How much is this watch?”

“This model, the same as the one you’re wearing, is over four hundred thousand yuan.”

“Please help me wrap up both of these watches,” he said.

The words stunned everyone present instantly.

Wrap them up?

Could it be that Lu Yichen was really going to buy them?

And two at once—no one thought that was possible.

It wasn’t that they looked down on Lu Yichen. These two watches together cost over eight hundred thousand yuan, nearly a million.

Though handsome, Lu Yichen didn’t look like a wealthy heir. As Yu Suixin’s junior, it seemed impossible for him to afford such an amount.

Not only were they shocked, but even Yu Suixin was surprised. Based on what she knew of him, her junior would never spend over eight hundred thousand on watches.

Before the other sales assistants could react, the manager spoke first, “Are you sure you want to wrap up both watches?”

“Absolutely.”

“Alright, please come with me to the front desk to check out.”

With his firm answer, Lu Yichen was led to the counter to pay.

Others followed, curious to see how this would end and whether he really had the means to buy two Vacheron Constantin watches.

“Junior, are you really buying these? You’re not joking, right? Think again—it’s more than eight hundred thousand,” Yu Suixin said in disbelief.

Lu Yichen smiled at her. “Don’t worry, I’ve thought it through.”

Seeing his certainty, Yu Suixin took off the E-Ling Goddess watch and handed it to the manager for packaging.

Lu Yichen also removed the watch on his wrist and handed it over.

Once the manager finished wrapping, she asked, “How would you like to pay?”

She was curious—now that the watches were packed, would Lu Yichen actually pay?

At this point, there was no excuse left.

Her doubt wasn’t personal; she just didn’t want to waste effort if nothing sold.

Everyone stared at Lu Yichen, waiting for his answer. Only Yu Suixin’s mind was filled with thoughts of how to help him save face.

“By card,” he said.

The manager took out the POS machine and placed it on the counter.

Lu Yichen pulled out a Gongxing bank card and began the transaction.

When the “Payment Successful” notification appeared, the manager, Yu Suixin, and the other three sales assistants all widened their eyes in disbelief.

Payment successful?

Really… really successful?

Over eight hundred thousand yuan on watches, and he bought them just like that?

Everyone was stunned. Only Lu Yichen appeared nonchalant, as if this was routine.

“Junior…” Yu Suixin wanted to say more but then saw Lu Yichen open the box of the E-Ling Goddess watch and put it back on her wrist.

Still stunned, Yu Suixin finally asked, “What are you doing?”

“I wanted you to try it on to see if it suited you, so I could buy it and give it to you.”

“Give it to me?!”

“No, no, this is too valuable. I can’t accept it,” she said, shaking her head.

Lu Yichen winked and pleaded with the others around to help persuade her to accept it.

The four immediately understood and began their support.

“Xīn, you have to accept it. The E-Ling Goddess really suits you.”

“Xīn, if you don’t accept it, where will your junior’s face be?”

“Xīn, your junior’s sincere feelings are clear. Accept it—no one suits it better than you.”

“Suixin, your junior is really going all out chasing you. You can’t let him waste his money.”

Hearing the manager say Lu Yichen was pursuing her, Yu Suixin hurriedly explained, “No, Manager, he’s not pursuing me. We really are just senior and junior.”

“Oh, I know. Just accept it. He’s a valued member of our store now. Don’t upset a member.”

“Manager!”

“How about this—I’ll give you the afternoon off. You two can go out and have fun.”

When the manager offered her time off, Yu Suixin’s eyes lit up immediately, nodding in agreement.
