Amidst the void, the successors of the Exquisite Sacred Land hovered in the high sky aboard the sacred vessel, their cold gazes fixed on the direction of the Jiang family.

The prince’s distress signal blazed like a torch in the night sky, instantly igniting the greed in everyone’s hearts.

“Haha, who would have expected such an ending? The esteemed prince has lost all face, sending out a rescue signal.”

A middle-aged man in a blue robe sneered lightly, his voice brimming with mockery. “It seems Su Ruoxi has intervened. Our Ninth Brother has completely given up the fight.”

A young man in an ornate robe scoffed with disdain. “What a useless wretch! Carrying the Enforcement Hall’s mysterious boundary power, yet unable to handle a mere saintess, and now we have to step in to bail him out. It’s utterly disgraceful for the Sacred Land.”

“However...” a black-robed elder spoke slowly, his eyes dark and profound, voice low and ominous. “Since he has sent the signal, by sect rules, we must respond. But...”

His words trailed off, prompting knowing smiles from those around him.

“Indeed.” The blue-robed man nodded, a greedy glint in his eyes. “Since he’s called for help, the Jiang family’s inheritance no longer belongs to him. We might as well take it over—it wouldn’t be a bad thing.”

The man in the ornate robe sneered disdainfully. “Ninth Brother is just a stepping stone clearing the path for us. We take the inheritance first, and split it according to the usual rules?”

The black-robed elder narrowed his eyes, cold and deep. “Two princes, the question now is, what if Su Ruoxi opposes us? After all, she is the Sacred Land’s foremost saintess. If she truly protects the Jiang family, it would be difficult for me, as a guardian, to make a move.”

“Su Ruoxi?” The blue-robed man laughed scornfully, his tone dripping with contempt. “A traitor who betrayed the sect and secretly tied the knot—how much influence does she really have here? Besides, she’s isolated within the sect. Who would truly stand up for her? Go ahead and act—just don’t kill us, and we’ll take responsibility.”

The black-robed elder nodded gently. “Very well. Her cultivation is at the Nirvana boundary. Even if she has some tricks left, I will handle them. The two princes may seize the inheritance directly.”

The man in the ornate robe’s lips curved into a sinister smile. “Good! That woman’s cleverness has backfired. The treasured inheritance is right before her eyes, yet she plays this marriage deception game. Now, all her efforts are for nothing, and it benefits us instead.”

They exchanged glances, their eyes full of tacit understanding and greed.

“The inheritance lies ahead—who can resist?” the blue-robed man whispered, resolve etched in his voice. “This time, whether it’s the Jiang family or the saintess, they are merely pawns. We are determined to prevail!”

The black-robed elder sneered coldly, hands clasped behind his back, eyes icy. “Then let the Ninth Prince’s ‘distress call’ pave the way for the two princes’ might.”

“Third Brother! Let’s go!”

“Right, Second Brother!”

Outside the Jiang family’s grand formation, the sacred vessel hovered in midair, its dazzling golden light like a blazing sun, overwhelming and oppressive, enveloping the entire Jiang family stronghold.

On the vessel stood two men side by side. The youth in blue robes held a jade bone folding fan, his handsome features marked by an unruly spirit.

The youth in the ornate robe had phoenix-like eyes and delicately shaped brows, emanating a chilling aura.

At this moment, the Jiang family’s mysterious yellow formation had firmly trapped the Ninth Prince and the elders of the Enforcement Hall inside, suppressing them utterly.

Su Ruoxi stood beside Jiang Cheng, her gaze cold yet tinged with helplessness, speaking softly: “The two most conspicuous figures on the vessel beneath me are the Sacred Land’s second and third princes, both at the peak of the Nirvana boundary. Behind them stands a black-robed elder, the guardian of the second prince, with a Void Refinement boundary cultivation—quite a formidable opponent.”

Jiang Cheng sneered, his eyes sweeping over the hovering vessel and the trapped Ninth Prince and his group. His tone was laced with unhidden sarcasm: “The people of the Sacred Land are truly eye-opening. Upon hearing rumors of a treasured inheritance, they come rushing like starving wolves smelling blood.”

He raised his hand, pointing at the Ninth Prince in the formation, voice growing colder: “When they can’t get the woman, they resort to robbery. When that fails, they call in reinforcements. Now we have two more princes arriving... Hmph, so the princes of the Exquisite Sacred Land are really this ‘cheap’.”

Su Ruoxi chuckled softly, teasing: “You can’t blame them. After all, your actions were quite astonishing—pulling out top-tier elixirs from Eastern Continent as betrothal gifts; a second-rate family from a remote town setting up a mysterious yellow imperishable formation comparable to the Sacred Land’s mountain guard array...”

She looked up at Jiang Cheng, a sly glint in her eyes. “And the treasure tower of the Affairs Hall—who wouldn’t covet it? If I weren’t already married to you, I might’ve joined the ‘heist’ myself.”

Jiang Cheng laughed heartily, his eyes full of affection and certainty. “My lady, if you want anything, no need for action—just ask, and I will personally grant it.”

Su Ruoxi smiled brightly, then shifted her tone softly: “I’m curious, how did you originally discover my identity? The secrets you carry are beyond my understanding, yet all this seems fated.”

Jiang Cheng’s gaze deepened. He smiled faintly, his voice calm but meaningful: “You want to know?”

Su Ruoxi glanced at him, her tone steady but resolute: “If you don’t tell me, I won’t ask. Everyone has their secrets, and so do I.”

They exchanged a look and smiled gently, each gaining a little more understanding and trust.

Without pressing further, they tacitly understood that when strong forces approach, both are fearless and relaxed, sharing light-hearted conversation.

“The Ninth Brother truly is useless—he couldn’t even take down the small Jiang family,” the second prince said, shaking his folding fan with disdain.

“He’s only ever relied on his prince status,” the third prince snorted, eyes fixed greedily on the Jiang family’s formation. “This formation is impressive. If the rumors are true and the Jiang family has a hidden inheritance treasure, then this trip is worthwhile.”

Behind them, the Void Refinement guardian stood silently, radiating a terrifying aura. His expression was stern, clearly realizing that the Jiang family’s formation was indeed as powerful as the Sacred Land’s.

“The princes should intimidate the Jiang family first. Such a grand formation, controlled by Su Ruoxi at the Nirvana boundary, already poses a threat to me.”

The second prince closed his fan, eyes blazing as he scanned the Jiang family’s formation. “Jiang Cheng! This is your last chance. Hand over the inheritance treasure, or the day this formation breaks will be the day your Jiang family perishes!”

Within the Jiang family’s formation, golden light flowed like waves of runes surging powerfully before the Void Refinement guardian’s eyes.

“If the two princes can’t succeed, find an excuse to negotiate using the Jiang family’s city assets and clan members as bargaining chips. This formation rivals the nine great sacred lands; I alone am powerless for now,” the guardian whispered. He knew that to seize such a precious treasure from the Jiang family, extreme measures were required—delay could bring disaster.
